Giorgio Scarato started his cultural and creative path in the sixties, in Milan, after getting a "diploma di maturità artistica" (high school art diploma) and while studying scenography in Brera and architecture in Venice.
His great career in the illustration field also started in Milan, thanks to a productive connection with the art director of the International Agency-Studio owned by the Dami brothers.
Through the years he has worked and collaborated with some of the world's greatest publishing companies, creating illustrations for Mondadori, R.C.S. – Gruppo editoriale Fabbri-Sonzogno, Bompiani, Shogakukan, Kodansha, Edition G.P. Paris, AB Wiken Bokorama, Hoganas, Sudwestverlag, Kwang Fu Book Enterprise, G.M.B.H. & Co., Golden Time Comunication, Gakken co. Ltd., Walt Disney and many more. In the Milanese years Giorgio Scarato had the chance to establish some very important collaborations and friendships in the cultural and artistic field, with people like Hugo Pratt, Sergio Toppi, Dino Battaglia, Sandro Biffignandi, Giorgio De Gasperi, Umberto Eco, Ivo Sablic and many important Maestri from Brera.
